Before the visit
We work with your team to scope learning goals, identify cases, and prepare the local faculty who will continue teaching after we leave. A pre-visit knowledge assessment establishes a baseline.
PALNET teaches in two main settings — site visits in the operating rooms, and workshops associated with hospitals, universities, and society meetings.
There are two types of site visits: (1) a PALNET teacher goes to a member site and teaches hands-on in the operating room while members deliver anesthesia, or (2) a member goes to a PALNET teacher's hospital and observes in the operating room while the teacher delivers anesthesia. PALNET teachers conduct a 4-hour workshop of lectures and small-group EEG interpretation — reading EEG from actual cases using an EEG video library, and from pretend cases using an EEG simulator.

A PALNET site visit is two days of intensive, in-OR, case-based teaching delivered at your institution — followed by ongoing mentorship to keep your program growing.

PALNET teachers spend two days in your operating rooms teaching with you as you deliver anesthesia, supplemented by didactic sessions and practice with our EEG simulator.
Every visit invests in local faculty. We work shoulder-to-shoulder with the colleagues who will sustain EEG teaching at your institution, giving them the curriculum, the case library, and the confidence to keep going.
A post-visit knowledge assessment, ongoing text and video support, and follow-up meetings every two to three months for as long as your team finds them useful.
