This is the first Paediatric EEG Bootcamp built from the collaboration of three international initiatives — SafeTots, the Safe Brain Initiative, and PALNET — and it is PALNET's first workshop in Europe.
EEG monitoring is increasingly available in anaesthesia, but its clinical value depends on accurate interpretation, which is particularly challenging in children because of developmental variability, age-dependent patterns, and the influence of anaesthetic agents. The course is a structured, practical introduction: focused lectures in the morning, then case-based workshops in the afternoon where participants read EEG themselves.
Anaesthesiologists caring for children on a daily basis. Residents and fellows will also benefit. The course is accredited in Italy for anaesthesia and intensive care, emergency medicine, neurology, child neuropsychiatry, and paediatrics.
Course directors: Nicola Disma and Lino Nobili, IRCCS Istituto Giannina Gaslini. Endorsed by SIAARTI.
PALNET faculty teaching in Genoa:
They are joined by Matteo Cataldi and Nicola Disma (Gaslini), Max Ebensperger and Matthias Kreuzer (Technical University of Munich), and Federico Linassi (Ca' Foncello Treviso Regional Hospital).
