Case of the Month
Learning EEG, one case at a time.
Short, case-based teaching on EEG-guided pediatric anesthesia, in English and Spanish. Each case will draw on real clinical practice, with identifying details removed, and will walk through the EEG, how it was interpreted during the anesthetic, a question for the reader, and the key teaching points. New cases will be published roughly every other month.
The first case is coming soon.
Cases will appear here, newest first, each in English and Spanish.
How the cases work
- Each case draws on real clinical practice, with identifying details removed.
- It shows the EEG (raw waveform and density spectral array) and how it was interpreted during the anesthetic.
- A question for the reader, then the answer and the key teaching points.
- Cases are commissioned from clinicians experienced in EEG-guided pediatric anesthesia and reviewed by PALNET before publication.
Cases are de-identified and shared for education only. They are not a substitute for clinical judgement or institutional protocol.
